The double tube heat exchanger is based on a tube-in-tube design that delivers high efficiency through the thermodynamically ideal counterflow principle. Large flow cross-sections allow the use of media with high viscosity and high solids or dirt content.

AWS-Technik continuously develops this proven technology and supplies double tube heat exchangers in every design: the range extends from spirally wound units with tube lengths of up to 70 metres to high-polish designs with demanding surface quality requirements.
Demountable, modular design
A speciality are our demountable, modular heat exchangers: inner and outer tubes can be removed so that all heat transfer surfaces can be cleaned. In case of heavy fouling or advanced corrosion, the inner or outer tube can be replaced without welding. We also supply standard brackets for all mounting locations, for example ceiling, wall or floor.
